Hi

Found a new job through a recruitment agency and was called in for an informal interview the same day i sent my c.v. the agency wer really impressed and thought id be perfect for the clients vacancy. They were in contact and the client agreed i was a strong candidate but she was unable to fix any interviews etc as she was 'busy' but would be in touch. I since chased the recruitment agency who was coincidently chasing the client for info as this had been nearly a week of no news. The agency told me the client was still interested but was still 'busy' and was tentative about the vacacny (i guess paying out a salary, wheather to have 1 or 2 new staff) there is a meeting with the client on friday, which dosnt involve the agency, its just between owners etc to discuss it.

I am starting to loose faith in it now. Surely private businesses dont pay out for new staff to an agency and then turn around and say no, we are not interested now. Why would they take sooo long when she has all my details and is keen. No-one can take nearly 2 weeks to get around to arranging an interview. I was so sure i had the job in the bag! The agency have even gone to my references.

Should I just forget it and look at other employers? Why would they be so keen on my application then do nothing about it!

I assume your CV had better spelling and grammar than your post?

yes!!!
It's an employer's maket these days. There are short-lists for shelf filling jobs in Tescos !
I wouldn't pin all your hopes on this one job if I were you - keep looking elsewhere.
dont depend on one offer alone. Always keep an alternate.... Cos you dont know how situations will change
Contact them and tell them you have been asked back for second interviews with other jobs and ask tell them you need to know what the position is with that one so you know exactly what your options are.
