Going away next week on holiday, and need to find some light coloured and light weight trousers and light coloured trainers - all black and brown trousers in shops at the moment ready for winter.  Where would be the best places to try? I had already thought of charity shops.  Do you know of any national stores where they still have summer stuff?

Do you have any outlet places near you? I think they'd be the best place as they usually have last seasons stuff, failing that just places with sales on or catalogues as they have at least some summery stuff all year round. I had the same problem last october but I managed to get a few things in the sales
there are still a lot of sales around but depends where you live.

Thanks I'm in Surrey near Wimbledon, no outlet places here unfortunately that I know of. Sales seem to be almost over here, or end-of-sale trousers are wrong sizes!  I am charity shopping today .. thanks everyone!
Travelling Light (www.travellinglight.co.uk) sell summer clothes all year long.  They do online shopping (with next day delivery) or have shops in central London (just off Bond Street), Chalfont St Giles and Bletchingley.  They are not cheap but the stuff I have bought is very good quality.  They also sell lots of useful stuff if you are ever travelling somewhere exotic.
