Dry throat at night

Like many people I seem unable to breathe through my nose at night. This leads ( at least for me ) to a horribly dry throat and mouth all night. I have water by the bed but it only temporarily alleviates the parched "parrots cage" throat. Has anyone found anything to alleviate the dry throat caused by nocturnal night breathing?

If you can´t breath through your nose, then one ought to see an ENT surgeon to rule out an obstruction......or have you?
Hi airbolt, I have the same problem at night, drives me mad. went doctors this morning, also to ask if my bunged up right ear has anything to do with it. I can never breath clearly and always bunged up. Going to bed without a glass of water is a no no
As Squad says, you need to see your friendly GP...and Squad is brill.... :)
quad is brilliant purple popple --he is never far away is he.

I go back in one week (doctors) to have further investigation after an app is made for the
local clinic?
Do you sleep on back, side or front?
are you on any medication? some medications can make you very dry.
I sound like a recording....try irrigating your sinusses with sterimar and see if it helps.
Could it be from central heating or air conditioning ?
