What is the best way to transfer files from a phones micro sd card to one of a higher capacity?.eg from a 2gb micro sd to a 4gb micro sd

copy to a computer and then copy onto the new card.

How to do it depends on what you have available.. if you have a card reader (and micro SD adaptor) you can use those, if not connect the phone by USB and make sure it's in mass storage mode.

Thanks Chuck for the swift reply.Iguessed that was the best way I just wanted a little reassurance.I have an adaptor and card reader on my pc so I will take the card from the phone copy it to the pc, then put new larger card in the adaptor and copy from pc to that,yes? Then new card back into phone with same files only on the larger capacity card?
Yep, that should work fine.

Though format the new card in the phone rather than the computer if it needs it.
