pain in lower side of back

I have a pain in the lower side of back around the area of my hip. Not sure what it is. It comes on when I walk any short distance. Would appreciate any advice pls. Thanks

Is it a dull ache or a sharp pinching pain?  Or something else entirely...

Could be sciatica but without a description of the pain we don't have much to go on to be able to help you...

Its hard to describe but I'd say sharp rather than dull.  I don't have any pain down my leg - is that what you get with sciatica?
