forgotton password

Hi all,

I have a Asus netbook and had to change my password.

Been a bit dumb and can't remember what the new password is. I've tried all my usual passwords and can't get in.

Is there anyway of over-riding a password?

What OS are you using ? If you are using XP then boot into safe mode using f8 and then click on the adminstrator tab and go to user accounts click on yours to open it and remove the password .

Tried F8 and it didn't work, the netbook went to the logon screen.

F2 takes me to BIOS set up ut there is no admin tab.

Any other suggestions?
