Any ideas what's going on with todays prize puzzle .
I made my brain ache doing Araucaria's latest offering only to realise it's been published as a normal cryptic with the cheat facility .

25,208 set by Auracaria is the printed one in the newspaper as the Saturday Prize puzzle and yes, I have spent time doing it. Happy New Year shaneystar2

I usually print off the Guardian crossword and only found it today by entering the consecutive number into the search box .
So all my work was not in vain :)
