Jake – Sorry to bang on but in your previous post (you know - the one where you accused people who reach a different conclusion than yourself of being unconcerned with the well-being of the rest of humanity) you stated, “... CO2 levels are the highest in 400,000 years...”
To that, I have to say, so what? We're talking about climate here. When discussing climate we are by necessity discussing geological time-scales. Your 400,000 years is the merest blink of an eye in geological-climatic terms. If we're going to have an honest debate about this issue we must look at the entirety of known history (not just a specific segment) and apply those CO2 / temperature data sets to the hypothesis to see if they work. The hypothesis being: atmospheric CO2 concentrations force the global temperature to rise. This hypothesis must work in all time periods otherwise it must be concluded that it has been proven false. It only has to fail once for this to happen.
And it does fail. I've already given you one example where the hypothesis is disproved. There are a great many others which are easy to find if you care to look.
