I know perfectly well what it means, and the fact that it is very offensive, especially to females.

But that was the whole point of my question, why?

Let's try and find the answer without any insults etc.

Let's start with the meaning, it's a slang word for part of a females anatomy, just as the 'P' word is the slang word for part of a male's anatomy.

I know I am leaving myself wide open to the less than polite brigade, who would love to call me both, but if they did, which one would I find the most offensive 'C' or 'P'?

To be honest, as a male I would not find any difference.
aog,
when i said ask a female, i thought it was quite clear that i meant that they would quickly put you right as to whats more offensive the f-word or the c-word. have you ever tried to ask a woman this?
"See Yew Next Tuesdays" are commonplace in society with many warming benches in the respective Houses of Commons and Lords.

I am sure there are plenty of female ABers who may wish to do so.

But in the meantime, perhaps you will provide an answer to this?

As a male which do you find most offensive the 'P' word or the 'F' word.

Surely you can see where I am coming from?
Absolutely. You're being deliberately obtuse, that's where you're 'coming from', isn't it?

Once again an easy way out, when you yourself cannot provide a sensible answer.

I find the 'c' word to be the *worst word*.

I think it has to with the meaning and the 'explosive' nature of the pronunciation; it sounds nasty.
*to do with both

/// I think it has to with the meaning /// ???????

I think that deserves an answer on it's own.

/// the 'explosive' nature of the pronunciation; it sounds nasty.///

Well forgive me but I have tried to say both words under my breath, and I myself don't find one more 'explosive' than the other, and they both sound equally nasty.

Could it be that this is a throw-back from days gone by, when women were put on a pedestal much more than they are today, more's the shame.

Some of today's females can dish out just as many expletives than the most vulgar male, so should they really be shocked?

// and why you had to add (do not listen if easily offended) I do not know. //

No you wouldn't, it was out of courtesy to other ABers. I realise that some people are more offended by foul language than others. It does not offend me, but there was a possibility it could upset another user. There is no age restriction on AB, it can be viewed by children, so the precautionary warning was justified.
A little rich in my current appreciation of you Gromit, following your comment on the Concorde thread last night - which you were factually horrendously wrong. I would apprciate an apology (but do see the facts on the thread).. Also, I would appreciate your honesty if you pressed the report button, as if you did, this would have been wrong in view of the facts.

However, I do appreciate what you are laying out on this one......it was unfortunately a classic spoonerism and I understand, by chance, Andrew Marr fell foul of it as well. It will certainly not be the last time......
