Who has heard of the Wreck of the Hesperous.
When I was young & came home a bit dishevelled looking,my Granny used to say to me!You look like the wreck of the Hesperous! Is there a real ship called the Hesperous? does anyone know?

it was the good ship Hesperus that sailed the (something) sea. Like many poems I believe it was based on a real wreck. I believe Hesperus is a star.
