Homail account - Messenger pop-up chat box

When I Sign-In to just Hotmail, I now get a Messenger contacts messages pop-up box

I want to disconnect the link so that when only on Hotmail I am not bothered by Messenger contacts popping up and wanting to chat ....

(when I Sign-In to Messenger separately I am given the options eg 'Available, Busy, Away, Appear Offline)

How do I switch this pop-up chat box OFF, please?

(there is no obvious recent automatic-download that I could 'Remove from Programs')

I remember Chuckfickens giving me the answer to that problem and I managed to solve it. Sorry can't remember what he said. I'll have a look around and see if I can find how to do it!

Top right where your name is printed there is a little "twistie" - arrow. Click on that and scroll down to where it says Sign out of Messenger. Hope that works!
