Yesterday my pc started displaying shopping ads etc and over riding any searches on Firefox. Running antivirus found nothing but running malwarebytes in safe mode found some trojans which I deleted. Everything seems ok today but in Start up programmes is something called Seven Gold Soft with a file name Eb1.exe which is headed Opera Software.

Anyone know what this is ? and is it safe

Download, install, update malwarebytes.Run full scan. It will take a while. If that does not fix it, run malwarebytes in safe mode.

Sorry misread, you've already done that! Anything in the startup folder can be deleted if not needed.

Thanks for that, ran malwarebytes in normal and safe mode but it took Ad-Aware to get rid of the last traces and now scans are clear.

Eb1.exe is shown as disabled in startup but now trying Hijack this to see if I can find any remnants
