Aaaaah ... that's so sweet.
Quite amazing seeing hippos are rated as one of the most dangerous animals to come across. Mothers are tops!
Super!!
Humans could learn so much from the other animals on the planet.

It's lovely, isn't it? I read it on the train this morning, quite warmed my journey!
There has been a few horrible stories in the press about pretty awful cruelty to animals. I don't know how people can live with themselves tormenting and killing defenceless animals.

Frankie was p**sing me off earlier - he was in a cupboard knocking things over and generally being a pain and I shut the door and left him until he started screaming. He was locked in for a minute or so but the look of disgust on his face when he stomped out made me feel bad - almost. He is sitting on the hard drive of my PC glaring at me at present. I have not been forgiven.

Wolf, I am sitting on the computer chair and OH is sitting on a hard little sofa - Black Spot and Rover are spreadeagled across the comfy sofa.....
When I got my first cat I was a complete novice. I had previously had dogs and thought that cats were just small dogs in nature.

The first morning that I was wakened up by George licking my eyelids freaked me out - dogs wait until you are awake even if they are desperate to go to the loo.

There was only me and George in a double bed - he got 75% of it and I got the rest. How do they manage to take up so much space?

Somebody told me that cats don't snore - George snored very loudly and it got worse as he aged.

I thought that since Frankie and Princess Merlin were siblings they would get on with each other. However if they are actually being nice to each other I get suspicious.

I have also discovered that keyboards attract cats - as soon as I get my Macbook up and running she sails through the air onto the keyboard. I pick her up and dump her on the floor and our evening passes this way.

Frankie is also de-stuffing the armchair in the spare bedroom - he has got most of the stuffing out of the sides and has now started on the back. Now and then he drags his claws down the wood - but he must be leaving that until last.

They are strange animals - highly amusing though.

Wolf, I can't tell you the number of times that OH has got in from work in the middle of the night, and can't get into bed, because I'm squashed up my side and A Cat is lying at right angles to me, taking up the rest of the space....
Awww, that's lovely, nice to see a heartwarming animal story for a change.
