I have around £80 worth of 10, 20 and 50 cent coins I would like to change back to British pounds, I'm not planning on going back to Europe soon. I've been told that the banks only like notes and Thomas Cook will change notes and coins but only 1 euro or 2 euro coins.

you cant get coins changed. i had a load too and i swapped them with a friend who was going abroad- saved her going up the travel agents to get it all changed, and in turn i got rid of them all!!
I agree with beverley, sell them to a friend.
beverleymot knocked it right on the head. no where will take coins they will only take 1 and 2 euro coins.
i got all the spare change from my boyfreinds trip to france as i was going to greece, but it did way down my purse a bit!
What about advertising them for sale? A card in a local shop window offering the £80's worth for £60 might attract a buyer.
