Dear Sirs

I am utterly bemused by Brummie today.

It is only Tuesday, and this Brummie was stupidly difficult ... surely more suited to a Friday or Saturday than to a Tuesday morning coffee crossie.

I trust that we will be compensated by a kind setter on Wednesday.

Yours,

Baffled of Brighton

ps. Rather than ask for help on the ones with which I struggled, it is quicker to tell you the only 4 that I could get ...

2d. DEARTH
4d. DROWN
25a. EROTICISE
20d. BECKET

(and I'm not even sure about these, because I couldn't get any crossing words).

Hi JJ

Did you try the site I suggested to you yesterday!

I looked at it yesterday, but forgot today, K.

I've spent the day flinging the Guardian to one side, mardily, and then picking it up again, thinking ... "Let's have another look ..."

... and then flinging it aside again.

I've just had a look, K.

I think those were waaaaay too tricky for a Tuesday.

(that's me frowning!)
You are correct when you say that Brummie usually appears on a Saturday with the Prize crossword.

In my circle he is the least liked of the Guardian setters.

Araucaria tomorrow maybe!

I hope not !!

Although I made a decent fist of the last Araucaria ... I surprised myself.

Maybe Brummie will become my "least liked setter" as well ...

... (knocking Araucaria off his perch!).
