Does anyone else think its a quick fix to post in CB?

I post on topic in the main -put a lot of thought into it and supply links etc.

I posted today and have on loads of other days ON topic and nada zilch response.It pains me that I put effort into my threads-post in the proper topic and yet people on CB just post sh!te half the time and before my thread has had a chance it been taken over by 'Hey i'm back' although it was just they were on 5hrs previously type nonsense or similar crud.
Any chance that people can be less selfish???
Im deid with it -seriously,Even when you post on the sh!te -they go off tangent and youre left thinking-What The Funicular????

STOP being me me me's -post properly and let other peoples threads have half a chance

Aside from CB my other interest is the Genealogy section. I look in there a couple of times a day, and if I see an interesting thread I subscribe to it, hence no need for it to appear in the Latest Posts.

All posts go on "Latest Posts" and depending upon the topic it is usually answered. Chat is much broader topic and can of course become more frivolous. Not everyone knows the answers to Music or Q&P all the time. I sometimes see posts and don't want to get involved, it just depends on the mood or sometimes the presentation of the question.

Perhaps I shouldnt have just singled out CB -Q & P on a Sunday is a day where its a waste in the main to post if you need a quick answer.

I go to the sections where I might be some use first...so home and garden /gardening a bit of body and soul and a quick dip into sport but after that its a run through CB
if I have time I look at a few other categories even weather at times and I do look at the unanswered posts list in case I missed something.. Usually I like the chance to be useful even if it is only suggesting names for unidentified plants...

Im like you Rowan -I try if I have time to have a scout about to see if I can answer (not often I can),I dont like seeing forlorn threads where someone has a problem and posted with a deal of thought so I would post on there even if I cant help but just too support them and hope that their thread is highlighted long enough on recent posts for someone to pick it up who may be able to help.
