I want to put two feature wallpapers on one wall but none of the family think it will work! It's the chimney breast wall and I want to put a horizontal stripe on the chimney breast and a co-ordinating floral pattern on the back wall either side. Has anyone tried this before and were you happy with it?

Providing she sticks to clean, straight lines in furniture, etc., there's no rhyme or reason why she can't play up and experiment with feature wallpapers. Like I said earlier on in this thread, her idea is quite a contemporary one.
absolutley thats why you should stay clear or trends go deco or sixties or victorian etc....
"Deco" was trendy in 08/09, sixties had another run 2-3 years ago and Victorian is popping up every now and again. All fashion relies heavily upon past influences.

My mother used that idea back in the 1970s! Woolworths wallpaper it was.
The old Woolworths has become a Peacocks in Hereford... it's received mixed reactions.
