I posted a thread a couple of weeks back with regards the best Accountancy Qualification to study towards. The ACA vs. the ACCA?

I had a few useful responses and decided to ask the question again to get some more useful responses.

Basically the question is: which qualification to study towards. I am entitled to numerous exemptions with the ACCA, and none with the ACA. But I've heard from many people that the ACA is better and will help me more in the long run with my career progression.

On the other hand, people have told me that the two qualifications are practically the same in terms of material covered and in the eyes of prospective employers, and that if I did do the ACCA I would be able to get the same jobs as if I had done the ACA.

Please somebody help, still very confused, and don't won't to limit my options in the future by doing the ACCA!

Afraid I can't answer your question but it might be worth posting it in the Money and Finance section where there could be some Accountants browsing who can provide details of their own experience.
