.....for Bowel screening, and really don't want to even read the instructions as I'm a bit squeamish about poo.
Anyone else had one of these?

Do it craft it gives you some peace of mind. My sister was caught early with bowel cancer she had to wear a colostomy bag for about 6 months but she has had the all clear recently.
We had these tests last year.Did them and sent them off .They came back clear .
Speaking to the nurse who did the colonoscopy on my husband on Wednesday about them she said they are not always accurate ,because my husband has just been diagnosed with..yes.. bowel cancer . The blood which they analyse has to show up on the poo you put on the little plate .It could in fact be right inside the stool and then they wouldn't see it .It depends where you take your little sample from if you get my drift .
Do it though . I know it's not pleasant but better safe than sorry .
I won't go into my full circumstances, but will just say please do it.

lol mrs.c it's not embarrassment, it's barfing!
Please do it.
It is a little unpleasant, but what's a second or two of slight queasiness/embarassment/whatever set against the possibility of catching a vile disease early enough to do something about it ?
We have done our tests at least twice now, results back within 14 days, all clear thank goodness.
I expect the Queen will have done hers....she poos too, you know.

There are lots of people who simply trust in the Almighty to ensure they come to no harm. It is quite stunning to observe how many of them come to serious grief. Others take various steps such as preventive measures and going through screening. It is very interesting to note that these steps actually reduce all manner of counts such as incidence of disease, severity when disease occurs and mortality among patients. For example, Just today I saw statistics for Iceland which, since introducing screening for cervical cancer in 1964, the incidence of the disease has fallen by 70% and mortality by 90%. While Iceland and UK are different, nevertheless if you don't want that sort of result, don't complete the self test and start praying more instead - bowel cancer screening follows the very same principles. I have thus far completed three kits at two year intervals.
Mr. Den did one of these kits and it came back positive - had colonoscopy and gastroscopy last month - both came back clear - the surgeon said these kits were not that accurate but they still have to follow up the positive results.

Better to be safe than sorry, craft. xx
