Morning

Wonder if someone can help.

I stopped using Internet Explorer some time ago because of the security problems and now use Firefox.

Can anyone tell me:

1) Is it ok to use Internet Explorer safely or are there still security problems
2) Firefox takes a good five minutes to load and can be problematic is there something wrong with my settings, I ask because Internet Explorer loads immediately.
3) Are there any other web browsers that are quicker and safe?

Many thanks for your help.

''Firefox takes a good five minutes to load''

Does it? It shouldn't.

Have a look at Google Chrome, Opera and Apple's Safari...
1) no more than there ever are, it not too bad at all though as long as you keep up to date with your system updates.
2) yes something is wrong, probably an add-on slowing it down, if all else fails remove and reinstall firefox.
3) there are loads, opera, chrome and safari are probably the largest, try them and see what you think, you can install as many browsers as you want.
I've used I.E. for the last ten years with no problems.
I reckon you just need to keep it up-to-date and have a good Anti-virus and Firewall installed together with a good clean out occasionally by CCleaner and Spywareblaster.
Yes I've always used IE too with no problems.
