Using Outlook Express 6.0 mail filtering rules with Yahoo

I'm using OE 6.0 in conjunction with the Pop functionality offered by Yahoo Mail. Some mail I receive is from a mailing list and gets filtered correctly into a separate folder. So far so good. However, what I'd really like is for that mail to be deleted from the server. Mail that stays in my Inbox can stay on the server, but I've no reason to want to keep the mailing list stuff. At present I've set it up so that it doesn't 'keep a copy on the server', but that affects all my email. There is an option in the rules wizard that allows you to select 'Delete from server' for given criteria. So I thought if I had one rule that says 'move to folder xxx', followed by another rule that said 'delete from server' everything would be lovely. However, it doesn't delete it from the server! The only way to get it to delete the mail from the server is to set it up to delete all my email from the server. Am I doing something wrong, is it something unique to Yahoo's Pop service, or does it just not work?? I know it's a long question, but I wanted to explain properly! Cheers

Maybe you could use the 'where From line contains people' and insert the name of your mailing list and under Actions 'delete from server' - Have you tried this?

Yes, I've tried that option but all that does it delete it from the server *without* downloading it first! Bizarre really, but there you go.
