is it true that if you tip a marlboro cigarette box onto its side it makes the triple k symbol?

my history teacher mentioned this, as apparently the leaders in the 1920s were supporters, but i'm far too lazy/stingy to go out and buy some to check.  so any help would be appreciated!

Also Masonic symbols on there.

Absolute garbage - it's an urban myth that took on popularity in the 1980s.

Check http://www.snopes.com/business/alliance/marlboro.asp

yes, this is utter rubbish, however on a different note regarding marlboro, however here is a true fact about marlboro for you did you know for a reported payment of $42,000, the company purchased 22 exposures of the Marlboro logo in the 1980 movie Superman II??
Thanks for that link, Waldo. It was over an hour before I wandered back! Fascinating site...
It's often quoted that this story about the KKK on the Marboro packets started in the 1980s but as a child in the US I remember we were talking about this in 1968. There were also mysterious markings hidden in the folds of the cardboard if you pulled the packaging apart - which of course, were just printers' registration marks. The Snopes story debunks the myth, rightly, but just gets the date wrong as the story must have been in circulation before even our school group heard it.
