email problems

Can anyone tell me how overnight my email programmes removed themselves from my desktop.(sounds like the fairies are at it again). Seriously though I use both Msn-hotmail and was using Incredimail xe.Both fine the previous night and mysteriously vanished the next day. I can access MSN in a convoluted way but Incredimail has gone completely.Anyone know if these two programmes could have caused some kind of conflict.I am on ntl broadband and find it fairly iffy at times-any connection?Would be happy to hear from anyone with a bit of insight.Thanks.

What OS are you using? Is everything else from your desktop seem OK? How about your My Documents? You may have inadvertently created another profile if you use 2000/XP.
