Hypnotheropy doesn't work for me...

A couple of years ago I went to a hypnotherapist to help loose weight. It had such a negligable effect that I stopped going. Mind you that was after 12 sessions at £55 a pop...

I had a gastric band last year and it is going relativly well but I still have this thing for CHOCOLATE and sweet things that is slowing it down so decided to go back (to another one) for 'aversion theropy'.

Well what a load of crap that turned out to be. There was no difference after the first go and I became consious of what she was saying this time (second visit) and realised that she hadn't listened to a ward I had said and I would never get anywhere.

When I told her she said that I would never get any 'better' through hypnotheropy because I had such a strong aversion to suggestion...

So basicly I will have this dependance on chocolate and sweet things for the rest of my life. BUMMER...

I had hypnotherapy for anger problems - worked very well for me. I went in thinking the whole thing would be a load of rubbish but as I say it calmed be down alot.
hello cassa333, there is a solution, its up to you to find it!!
first of all if you must see a therapist, do a lot more shopping around before you lay out any more money.
from a lay man, if you really want to beat yr dependence of chocs and sweets things, how about weaning yrself off them, but reducing the consumption by a small ammount every day.
good luck, i´m sure some1 out there will help
