I read TDVC on hols and loved it - excellent beach book - so much so I've come home and started to read Angels and Demons, which, as far as I can tell, is pretty much the same as TDVC.

Is this true of all of his books?

Who knows? I couldn't face reading any more DanBrown books after those two.
I've also read Deception Point which more or less follows the same thread. It's different characters and storyline but it's still with a male lead, falls in love with female scientist/expert, someone called Commander instead of Teacher. - And you can kinda guess the rest if you've read the 2 you've mentioned
What's more, Pinotage, who cares?

I hated his russian roulette, and his seance, and couldn't be bothered in the slightest with his series.

Just face it, there's no such thing as magic!

He is a one-trick pony.

thats DERREN brown  not DAN brown
