My tomatoes are in a greenhouse and get sunshine all day long . Which means plenty of light and heat .
However should the direct sunlight be subued. I have used bubble wrap on the glass which keeps the heat in, especially in spring and autumn but should it be removed/reduced to allow more direct sunshine on to the plants.

ventilation is more important open all the vents and have the door propped open durong the day.. I'd take down the bubblewrap and use a paint on shading it we have a hot summer

Why is paint shading better ? I have both but the light reduction seems about the same.
Bubble wrap is of course easier to put up and down a bit like a net curtain.
Actually, tomatoes are one of those plants that can't get too much sunlight... with one caveat; that of keeping the soil moist. We have friends in Alaska (we're in the western U.S.) and they grow giant tomatoes due to nearly 20 hours of sunlight in the summer. They taste really good even with that much growth due, I suspect, to the volcanic enrichened soil.
Don't overwater the plants but, rather, mulch the soil around the plants with peat or old newspapers...
Be careful with the watering, too much and the tom`s will split, too little and they get `Black Eye`, that`s a black spot on the base of the fruit, and give them a fine spray with water in the evenings when they are in flower, to help fertilize them and a little shake of the plant to also help fertilize, and you will be inundated with tom`s later in the season.

It seems to me it's the intensity of the daylight that's important. Alaska may get 20 hours of daylight in mid-summer compared to 18 in Southern England and 14 in the Med. but there is a vast difference in intensity. That's why the question of shading can be important .
I do spray my greenhouse with Coolglass and grow tom`s perfectly well.
