john stewart a game keeper married catherine Mcdonald in Little Dunkeld 24/06/1881.
in 1883 they had a son John s Stewart where was he born , and when did they move to midlothian.

I can't just see a family that looks right on the 1891 census, where were John snr or Catherine born?
I've found a John and Katherine Stewart with a son John born 1883, but as dot says need more details about the parents.
This one has John born 1854 in Rossshire, and Katherine born 1861 in Inverness.

sorry that all I have on the parents, but the john s stewart got married on the 06/02/1903 aged 20 to Frances husband then in 1906 my granmother was born 23/05/1906 in 7 robertson bank gorebridge midlothian. sorry I don't have much more to go on ander19
Do you have a copy of John S Stewart's marriage certificate as that should give the occupation of his father?

john simpson stewart was a coal miner on his marriage cert, and his wife frances husband a domestic servant on the 6/2/1903. They had a daughter Esther byers stewart 23/5/1906 born at 7 robertson bank gorebridge
my gran Esther byers stewart ( Biscuit Factory worker)married William Anderson ( Railway shunter) on the 4/12/1925 It has John simpson (coal miner (deceased)) as he was killed in Iraq in 1916 WW1
