Just received message to update java, then another saying update failed and then saying, go to `java.com/error 403` What should I do next please?

I'm using XP and only some updates get installed.

No it won't be in all programs, it's not something you ever have to run in itself, it just required to enable some other things to work.

You can look in add remove programs in control panel and remove all but the latest version of JAVA though as it tends to leave the old versions installed.

Chuck, I have had a look at add/remove and it shows just `java(TM) 6 Update 20`. none of the previous version.
