Any natural hair dyes to cover white hair?

I have dark, almost black hair and have noticed a few white (not grey) hairs coming through. I have used hair dyes from the shops but despite conditioning my hair, the dyes are making my hair very dry. Is there a natural dye which I could use to cover the white? I don't like the thought of using ammonia or peroxide in products which you get from the shops. Any suggestions please? Thanks!

My Nan uses Loving Care, (I think). Most hairdyes nowadays cover grey, not sure about white. Speak to your hairdresser.
All the permanent colours need peroxide/ammonia or similar to work. White hair is hard to dye but you should be able to use home products, I find Garnier Nutrisse is quite gentle or Loreal Preference. If you are happy using a semi permanent and risking the fade Casting creme gloss seems to leave your hair in pretty good nick.

If you have the patience or a friend willing to help just cover the white bits using an old mascara brush or if it is just a few pluck the white hairs out
Apparantly there is no such thing as a grey hair it's acually a white one but looks grey amongs the darker hair.
The best colour product I have found for coverage is L'Oreal Preference. It's the most permanent for me but still fades a bit over a few weeks.Unfortunately its not ammonia free but comes with a colour enhancing cream conditioner to give a silky finish and shine.
Disclaimer: I'm a 50-odd year old fella with very little hair. (What I've got left is white/silver/grey and it's staying that way!). The following links are simply things I came across while Googling for an answer to another question a few weeks ago. Don't blame me if it all goes wrong!!!!

Thanks for your suggestions everyone! I've used the supermarket ones but they aren't natural as they have chemicals but I will take a look at the Holland and Barrett ones. Thanks for the links!
