You will have to bear with me again as I feel a long response coming on. It will probably be disjointed and since my kids are here I don't have much time also ignore the spelling mistakes. And I am at a disadvantage as the posts will be continuous with gaps of time inbetween, I hope you read the whole lot again when it is complete.

And I don't like to use the words 'white' and 'black' constantly, I don't like that this is so racially based but you have not left me much choice. However I point out that I would stand up for any cause, for anyone regardless of colour.

I had a quick skim through the other thread and I would like to say that, why should I grow a thick-skin? I believe in standing up against what I perceive as a wrong. If i am myself wrong then by all means voice your opinion directly to me but by no means am I the one who is 'feeding' you Oldgit. I don't have any more intention of engaging in a long discussion with you after this.

Wow have you finally finished?

I have obviously upset you greatly, and for this I apologise to you, as I have no intentions of upsetting anyone to the degree that you so obviously are. This is a recreational site and everyone should enjoy it and treat it as such, I do.

Some seek a genuine answer to their questions, others post news stories to create active debates, whereas I seek controversial news stories then highlight certain issues that normally would not dared to be discussed on any media outlets.

You keep asking me to apologise for daring to highlight these issues, because you personally find them offensive, this I am not prepared to do. If everyone was forced to make an apology for everything that was written, and because someone disagreed with what was written, nothing would be wrote, and we would end up in a state were only material was written that the state approved of. The burning of the books by the Nazis springs to mind.

Why not for heaven sake? white and black are just two colours (colours??? not completely true) but you know what I mean.

Regarding the influx of the white gene this all started by some study revealing that overall, there was a 55 per cent chance that mixed-race faces were perceived as being more attractive than either black or white faces.

Now as a 100% white person, I could also state that this offends me, as could a 100% black person. But taking this on board I stated that to a certain degree I agreed with this finding, and I personally thought it was down to the influx of the white gene. Taking into account that in mixed race features the African wide nose is more European, the heavy African forehead is less distinguishable, and the African frizzy hair is straightened. The Black gene gives a nice tanned skin colour. These observations are not racist but are there for all to see.

Regarding my words “what white person would pay good money to have a black skin” this was in answer to someone who said white’s pay good money to get a tanned skin. My scenario was a person who had paid to get a nice tan but unfortunately something had gone wrong and when they looked into a mirror their face was black, would they just take it on the chin and say, “great I look much better now”?

These are your words to take the whole meaning out of context, by trying to put words into my mouth.

You have refused to state if you are a Black person, judging by your attack on me I can only assume you are. As I have said before these days one is not allowed to criticise black persons, no matter what abominable crimes they commit, be them knife crimes, gun crimes or gang rapes. In fact I was once (and still are) attacked for using the word savages, when reporting on two horrific gang rapes, one on a young girl with learning difficulties, this one they sprayed with bleach to remove the DNA.

Very much is written of the white man’s inhumanity to blacks, but the white man is not alone, there are many case in history of the black man’s inhumanity to the white man. The white man has been massacred by the blacks on many occasions, and still is, you may say yes but only to drive him from their homeland. What I say to this is, has the white man massacred blacks to drive them from our land?

Try not to be so over sensitive, if you must read the posts that you think you may agree with, and ignore those that upset you so much, then perhaps at the least you may gain some enjoyment from this site.

Yes I have finished - although I don't know why people are surprised at the length of the response, I didn't think it was that long. I wish the 'wows' referred more to the force of the words than the length but we are all different people.

I do wish you had gone further and mentioned Onlineoap but at least you proved some people wrong by apologizing in some respect. I don't take issue to you raising controversial news stories by all means that is what freedom of speech is about.

I have been asking you to consider the responsibility of that freedom. I hope some of the sentitivity you endow me with rubs of on you in this respect.

For example - as a 100% white person your interpretation of even the word 'savage' will be different to that perceived by a black person.

I am not going to give any personal details such as age, employment, education or colour as I am not going to have something thrown back in my face later or should I say discriminated against when only my post should matter.

However you assume wrong - I am not black and I had no intention to attack you, merely explain and appeal to you in the way you write future posts.

I disagree with some of what you write here but I think we should let these issues rest until another time.

The 2 comments that I picked you up on are the only ones that have upset me, I am not that sensitive. I don't ignore the other comments I just don't choose to pick on them in the same way you do not want to continually apologise. Besides other posters address them well.

Finally apart of me was secretly and very, very wrongly hoping that you would not apologise for the reason that whilst waiting for a response from you, having found my revolutionary streak, I was hoping to declare civil war on you.

If you thought the response was 'wow', not for its length but force, I was going to give you alot more. I was so hoping that my license of civility towards you could be withdrawn and we went to war but dammn I have to be civil again.

Quick last one - I don't want to bring this up again but just wanted to say that I am really happy that you thought I was black and still was able to apologise to me. In my mind you are not a racist. It's the prejudices we still need to work on though!
