Does one still have to fill in the visa waiver card on the aircraft and the ESTA one on line as well? This was true last year (august 09) ,it seems like we are doubling up on the application..

I suggest you try in Travel
Prepare yourself for anything when flying these days.
I flew to the US in February, and had to fill in an ESTA at the travel agency where I booked my tickets, and also complete a form on the plane just before landing in the US too. It did seem like a lot of faffing around and repeating what I'd already done.

Thanks Jackie76.The stewardess handed us the forms as the wheels were coming down into Newark,it was panic all round.Could have handed them out any time in the previous 8 hours.
Many years ago I used to fly as cabin crew, and we used to show a video and hand them out mid flight.

It killed half an hour or so for the passengers.

You can't cross out mistakes, so some were coming up asking for fresh ones two or three times.
That's exactly when I was handed my forms, after getting totally confused about which colour form I had to fill in! Glad I could help.
