how log hould you leave it?

hiya all, i bought a bottle of perfume off ebay and it arrived yesterday. I was dissappointed to find that it had leaked and i was left with less than 1/4 of the bottle left, it is our opinion that it was poorly packaged as it was wrapped in a plastic carrier bag and a box twice the size.
Ive messaged the seller but ive not heard anything back yet, how long should i give them to get back to me? also would it be unreasonable to ask for my money back? I feel that at the end of the day i paid £5.00 for postage so i would expect it to be packaged properly atleast

Email him/her a picture of the broken bottle and explain the problem of their negligent packaging. Was this a one off item or do they sell lots of perfume, because if its a one off item then I don't really see them reimbursing you, however if they sell perfume as a business then they'd not want the word to get around that the goods they sell arrive broken, so ask for a replacement and if that's not a possibility then ask for your money.

Apologies for earlier, but if you paid by paypal you have protection where they will step in if goods do not match description or in your case are damaged on delivery due to poor packing I believe.

hahahah i see my typing error now, i just had my nails done and im not used to them yet. im expecting a reply by the end of tomorrow if i dont get one then i will take it further i think, i paid by paypal so thats good to know glamgran :). it was a private seller so i didnt hold to much hope of being re-embursed really.
