We have just been upgraded at work to office 2007. I am trying to edit an old document I had done in Word 2003 and I want to switch on the 'Overwrite' but I cannot find it anywhere. Also I want to insert a decimal tab in my document, I can't find that either. I notice when you double click on the ruler bar an ordinary tab appears, but no sign of the decimal.
Thanks any advice.

I don't use Office 2007 but I've done a bit of googling and I hope that the following will help:

Quote:
"To turn on the ability to enter Overwrite mode for Word 2007, from the Office Button menu, select Word Options, and then Advanced. Then, select Use the Insert key to control overtype mode."

Many thanks Buenchico, I will try this later. I brought a brand new manual but it doesn't mention 'overwrite' anywhere. Again, many thanks, i'm very grateful for you taking the time and trouble.
