Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

That is the answer I came up with

The 50 pence coin was issued in 1969 and was the first coin only to be used for that denomination, its equivalent was the 10-bob note. The 10p and 5p were issued a year earlier but were used alongside the shilling and florin as having equal value for a while. I think therefore you could say 50p coin was the first true decimal-only coin.

thank you for your replies,and especially to boxtops for explaining how logically the answer was arrived at.I think the question is open to debate,as chronologically its still the 5p & 10p, but since your answer directly answers the question, who am I to argue with you & Google. Lets hope the answers right, and that they are referring to British currency, not to some other country's currency that had some form of decimalisation long before us!
