Is it human nature to put things off? I've got a huge assignment in a week on Monday and am left with a week to finish it, meant to have had it all done by now but kept putting it off last week and haven't done an awful lot this week so am now sick with worry that I'm not going to get it done! The thing is, this sort of thing has happened before and I never learn!! So two questions really
1. Does everyone else act this way or is it just me?
2. Does anyone want to do some reading and make some notes for me (resources available online!)?

Can see I'm worried and tired by the fact I can't even spell the title right! *Procrastination!
Did you mean 'procrastination'?

Yep! am guessing you posted your answer just as I posted mine?
1. Certainly not just you.
2. Sorry, but no.
To answer in reverse order:
2 - no thanks
1 - yes. It;s one of the models of getting things done, some people plan well ahead and stick to a schedule - me, I;m like you, a just-in-timer. I do things best when I have a deadline getting very near. When I was studying a few years back (and I do my best study between 10pm and 2 am, I can keep that up for 3 days, no more), I used to find all sorts of distractions rather than getting to my books, at work we call it the "clean toilet" syndrome, do anything rather than get on with the job you need to do. You are not alone!

The thing is it gets me so stressed but then actually end up with OK grades so I must be doing something right! Have more responsibilty this time though as some of the reading I'm doing is also on behalf of two friends; we shared it so they've done some for me too, God knows what sort of state I'd be in if we hadn't!
I've noticed that I work well under pressure and tend to leave thing for last minute. No matter how much an effort I make, I usually end up doing things in the nick of time.

Glad it's not just me then!
If anyone changes their minds on the reading and note taking let me know lol!
I'm going to bed now before my head explodes!
