I'm from the UK and was just wondering if it was possible to receive personal money transfer from someone in the US in USD. If so, would PayPal automatically convert USD into GBP? Would the transfer involve the same process as a payment transfer from one UK resident to another?

Thanks in advance.

All the details of PayPal's fees, including those for cross-border payments and transfers, can be found on their website:

They do load the exchange rate - not sure by how much.
What I like about PayPal is that it means that the person you are paying, or the person who is sending you money, doesn't have to know your personal bank details, so you have extra security for transactions.
