's OK Hannibal...! but from now on, every time I show the teabag to the water, I will think of you and Mr V.....

Hi poodi :P, hope you're well. I tend to use teabags now as it's more convenient. I only drink decaf tea and herbal.

Hi Eddie51, nice to see you :)

Tea should be made in a pot.
If it's 'processed' using a tea bag and mug people tend to squeeze the bag; this results in bruised leaves which causes cloudy tea, ugh!
It takes no longer to make in a pot and tastes completely different. Just ensure that you warm the pot (a dash of water before it comes completely to the boil, tip it out just as the water in the kettle is coming to the boil), have you tea ready. Put the tea into the pot and straight away add the water which should be at boiling point. You don't need to leave it for ages to 'brew' if you've used the correct amount of tea.
The water must be boiling to make tea properly.
Hard to do all that in the office, madmaggot, I am sure there is some H&S rule about filling pots with boiling water.... we now have a natty device in the office kitchen which gives you constant really hot water for drinks, out of a tap in the wall!
Ah boxtops, the trouble with these is that the water isn't at boiling point. We used to have this in our office (when I used to work), can't be helped if that's all there is!
Teabag in cup!
I use a teapot - even if I'm making tea just for me.
