IF statement in Excel

I really need Excel to either open a file or show a hyperlink to a file when I use an IF statement and it returns true. Please help me!!

Don't have excel to hand, but something like:

IF(A3=B3,Hyperlink("C:\test\namelist.doc","Li
st
of Names"),"")

Not sure why If got split onto 3 lines - it's all one line
