Jewellery. A classic piece that she could treasure for ever. Diamonds ear studs would do it for me!

will you be my boyfriend?

no, seriously, i think a day out that she will remember forever. or something that means something to you both- not necessarily jewellry. What is she passionate about? Does she like photography, for example? Buy her a starter kit. Or get her a hot air balloon ride! Or something along those lines.

I suggested this somewhere else - try a Red Letter Day - e.g. Lotus Elise at Thruxton.

You got a saxo then boi ?

For 200 you could buzz into paris for the night if you are in the south.

Unless she is a very confident lass stay clear of sexy underware. There is also this place in London its snazzy and my Missus loved it.

Oh saxo_boi, you are LOVELY! I think it depends on what type of person your gf is really, because although jewellery obviously wouldn't do it for some people, I would be over the moon with it, but a bracelet or necklace would be what I'd like. If she buys loads of jewellery anyway, because she just buys what she likes, then perhaps it wouldn't be as good as something completely off the wall because it would be more memorable and so different for her. I hope you find something that she loves, let us know!

hello, r thanks people! why am i lovely?! lol. im not sure what to do still, ill have to keep thinking! she does like cars so maybe that would be a good idea! ill have to look into it, they do car driving "deals" at brands hatch dont they? and yes i do have a saxo lol, also i know this might be a bit of a gay question but how much does a decent piece of diamond jewlerly cost?

You're lovely because you've taken the time and effort to do something really special for her, that's why. Any guy who does that is lovely because most of the ones I know don't.

A friend of mine bought his gf a second-hand diamond necklace for 120 (knocked the jeweller down 40 from the asking price) and it was very pretty. Would she be offended with second-hand jewellery though? Some people prefer old jewellery and some don't. Probably you could look at about that price for new as well though, but it might be a very small diamond or a very fine chain. If you got a different stone rather than diamond you'd get more for your money, but then again, if she likes diamonds ...

I'd get her a can of beans, that went down VERY well, with my wife Elle, on our 50th anniversary, almost ten years ago, I'm thinking for our 60th, I'll get her some toast, to go with it.
Hi saxo_boi, just a suggestion, but a few years ago my bf bought me a gold bracelet for charms, he has since bought me several charms to add to it, each one meaning something, ie, a gold lighthouse, as that was our first concert we went to together, to see the Lighthouse Family, the number 3 as that's my lucky number, a Liverbird, and many more. Each time I wear my bracelet I know that everything on it means something to us both. Just a suggestion saxo....but whatever you buy her she will love....Good Luck saxo....and Happy Birthday to your gf..... :)

r even more suggestions! now just got to decide which one to pick lol. thanks everybody!!!!!!!!!!!!! you people are great!!
LiverpoolLou, that is a beautiful present.
Thanks dmsjps, it is a bracelet that is a one-off. My little grandaughter makes me explain every now and again what each piece means, it's like a little story for her. Oh and I have promised her that when she is bigger (bigger is her word by the way for older...lol), she can have it.
My boyfriend recently took me to the Edwardian Radisson Hotel In Manchester, 5*...It was lovely...the bed was huge...Robes, slippers etc...It`s a memory I will hold onto forever...It was lovely...It`s not a cheap place...150+ a night, but superb.  Dont bother with gems etc...You can do that anytime...Get her lots and lots of little pressies to open...Love tokens etc.  They`ll mean more than one huge gift.  Enjoy!
