Really gets on my t*ts! When the woman asks about savings for her baby, the bloke says 'that would look like' - what on earth does that mean - why can't he say well we could offer or we could look at? Is it just me?

Absolutely, at this moment in time, we're singing from the same hymnsheet, lankeela. It's common for sales people to use stock phrases like "that looks like..." or " we're talking ...." .

"We could look at a mortgage.." would be a helpful suggestion, whereas "That would look like a mortgage..." is an odd statement - the product IS a mortgage not something that LOOKS LIKE a mortgage
