I've just purchased a ceramic heater (it can come under different makes; heizl, ewt or dimplex) model is C120TLS. There are 3 settings one with a fan symbol, another with an I and the third is II. I understand from the scarce instructions that the I gives out 1000W heat and the II gives out 2000 heat. However, I don't know what the fan output is. There doesn't seem to be any difference in heat no matter what setting it is on. Can somebody explain to me the cheapest way (without switching it off!) of running this heater ie which setting? TIA
Thank you benny and chuckfickens. I have just realised when it's on the fan setting no heat comes out! so will keep it on the I setting. Thanks again for your time.
These gadgets are still relatively expensive to run - indeed no less cost than a normal 2 bar electric fire. The fan won't make a blind bit of difference to the running costs - when not quite true, the fan uses a trifflingly small amount of electricity to turn it.
The cheapest way to run it is not at all.
Thanks for that, it's on a low setting and really to take the chill off a small room in this cold weather, as soon as the temperature goes up, I'll switch it off.
