hi
if i reformat my computer back to factory settings ... can i then create a set of restore disks ?
if so how?
the originals were not made because my mum didnt know how to do them - and just began using the computer... i thought id since made some but the disks appear to be blank or damaged.

No you do it the other way around.
You create a restore disks THEN use them to put the computer back to factory settings.
If you have already started the instal and it has not worked then you may have already overwritten the restore disk files on the hard disk.
