I have a PAPERBACK harry potter and the chamber of secrets book with number 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1in the 3rd front cover.on the front cover there is a smarties gold award for 1998. Is this a first addition?ifso is it worth anything?

No, 1 + 1 = 2 is the most common example of a first addition.

i heard that you can tell what edition a book is by looking at the third number from the left in this sequence so in your case it would be an 8th edition, but i could be wrong!
