I've sold a few dvds on ebay, but just want to ask if you have to post it through paypal. On my ebay listing, I've stated I'll post them Royal Mail 2nd class, yet when on paypal, there's no option for this - only 1st class. I have a royal mail account, so can I just do it through their site, rather that following the way on ebay?

Thanks

You don't have to process it through paypal, there is the option for 2nd class postage when creating the listing. I would also put a note at the bottom of your listing confirming how it will be sent so there is no confusion. We do the same and never have any complaints.

Yeah, I've just been following the 'print posage label' that is usually to the right of the listings once an item has been sold. So if I don't need to do that, I'll just buy the postage directly from the Royal Mail site. I've always thought recieving payment through paypal was the safest, so I've not given much thought to accepting cheques or bank transfer. But if you recommend these methods, I may give it a try.
Thanks.

If you take your packages to the Post Office make sure you ask for a proof of postage, just in case any should get lost or people claim they haven't received them. They aren't given out as standard now unless you ask.
you still have to take your packages to the post office so don't really see the point of wasting ink to do it
