Cooking.Cooking. Cooking.Cooking..Why are there so many blasted cooking programmes on the 'box'. Does anybody ever copy them..I followed a recipe by Rick Stein once....The cod didn't taste like cod and it cost me nearly twenty quid...Somebody is going to tell me they follow them..Tell me it isn't you..I luvya though..x

There's simple rules regarding food in my house...

1- Can it be bought it Asda/Tesco/Co-op, if the answers no you have to travel to outer mongolia for a herb which only grows on the 2nd tuesday of ever lunar month, forget it.

2- Will the entire family eat it including any leftovers that end up the dogs way? if no, again, its a none starter.

3- most importantly, is it cheap? If I have to remortgage my house just to buy the 10 thousand ingedients (which incidently you'd never use again), then again- we'll stick to egg and chips thank you very much.

Me and cooking ... mmm ... we just don't click.

I think it's living alone ... you don't feel any motivation to spend time cooking.

Anyway ... if God had meant us to cook, he wouldn't have given us restaurants.

But, Dull Delia's recipes seem to work.
