... to your children when they were young (or still do, if they're still young?)

I used to sing to my Daniel Spaniel "You are my Sunshine, my only Sunshine". and when he was about 9 months old "Come on Eileen" was number 1 and he used to love me to sing that to him, and dance around the living room.

Spookily enough - I reminded him of this only the other week - and he swears he remembers both!!

Used to sing Gilbert O'Sullivan's "Claire" to my daughter when she was about 2. Yes, her name is Claire!

Sachs - I've just listened to Mucky Kid - it was lovely - a real nostalgia trip.

I was a very clean kid (had to be, with my fastidious mother - all that spitting on the hankie & wiping my face continually, yuck) - I was all pink dress, white socks and black ringlets - but with scabs on my knees, grazes on my forehead and ruddy cheeks.

Good Girl !!

My kids' names for their grandads were: 'Grandad Curlyhead' (for obvious reasons) and 'Grandad Billy with the 10 foot Willy' (after the cowboy song...) but, thankfully for school and public purposes (and whenever Nanna was around) it was shorted to Grandad Billy.
Oops just realised it was meant to be a song.

How about "mamma got back"??
Sachs was the next line something like "when he hears the things you did, you'll get a skelp from yer dad"? LOL I remember that one.
