so have decided to eat our goldfish. One or two of them are quite large and will feed at least 2 people.
Does anyone know the best way to cook Goldfish, I have been told to treat as red mullet.

Also what is the best way to kill them first? Again someone suggested a couple of asprin be dropped in the water to numb them?

Would only eat a cat on boxing day
Think I'd go for the kebab approach......you know....goldfish....pepper.....goldfish etc.....
You could marinade them in cognac (alive) they would die very drunk but happy,then just flambe them and eat :-)

Goldfish are from the Carp family, so any good Chinese or Polish carp recipe will do.. To kill tap an the head hard a couple of times with a blunt object, watch Hugh on River Cottage......

Apparently like most carp they dont taste that brilliant, but they are edible.
You could also boil the bones and make a lovely bouillabaise.
