i have an underactive thyroid, i have been very hungry this week and have been eating lots and lots, i cant stop it, i have a pain in my right breast, it started as a slight pain and now a week later its hurting bad, i have had mood swings for the last week also and feel like crying for no reason....is there a doctor on ab that can give me his/her opinion on this please, my doctor wont be open till monday and i dont even feel comfortable going to him coz he is so patronising, i never excersice apart from the running about i do after the kids and my work as clerical officer, which i dont be sat down all the time, i have started to excersice since tonight on my gravity walker.....i feel fat, ugly and bloated and my hair is all greasy too, i am not pregnant

when did you last have blood tests? your symptoms sound very pms ish, natural to feel fat and bloated if you have been eating a lot lately. might you have IBS?

i have ibs aswell im 29 and have these health problems, im so down about it, how can it be pms when im not due to start my period yet, im trying to get a good routine together to exercise and keep fit and healthy, its not my fault i have been eating loads, its like an addiction...my hubbys is going off me, im going to end up losing him, i know it

i had bloods done in june, they were borderline im on 25mcg of thyroxine a day, i dont think its enuf, but my doc says it is
this may be true suzie.......nobody fancies a fat bastad......

eating junk all the time can make you feel depressed, IBS can account for a lot of it especially if you are eating trigger foods that will upset your digestive system. maybe work on getting back to eating sensibly as eating rubbish can cause your thyroid levels to drop leaving you a little hypothyroid.

thank you cazz, im going to start eating less and healthier and maybe a jug of green tea a day
just healthier food, and fruit for snacks
suzie - thats a very low amount of thyroxine 25mcg per day. You may be right in that it should be increased slightly.
