I once read that the BBC banned 3 episodes from the original series in the early seventies because they said they were too upsetting for the viewers. Is this true? And have these episodes been shown since? Come on you Trekkies! Let's have an answer!

I remember the Alan Hansen thing. It was in Blackpool. He was arrested for flashing. About 1978. Seem to recall it was in the daily mirror.
