i have got a lump on the underside of my eyelid. i have had it for about two months now. when it first appeared my eye went really swollen. Just last month it came back again so i went to the pharmacy and they gave me golden eye which didn't help at all. I now have two lumps on the underside of my left eye lid. what should i do? will they ever go away?

Probably blocked sebaceous glands.....tiny glands that produce oils.

If they become infected they may form a hordeolum (Stye)

2 choices:
Live with them hoping they do not become infected or, see your GP for Ophthalmic referral fo excision...small operation under local anaesthesia.
as sqad says if they trouble you get rid, i had a large one removed on upper eyelid and despite my trepidation was no problem

ok so i know this post is so old but i have only just had them removed. And it was painful at all but I am so nervous of needles and pain at all so i managed to faint and was sick 4 times in the hospital. whoops!! anyways it didn't hurt at all and the first one i had has reduced quite drastically and i am really pleased but the second one is still slightly big. I wondered if it would disappear? i have to put eye ointment in my eye for a week so it might reduce with that? and how long will it take for the swelling to go down? it has already gone down because the first couple of days it looked like i had been thumped!! but just wondering how long for the rest to go down?
